What Are Sprays For Sand Fleas?
Sprays for sand fleas – Siphonaptera (siphon = tube; aptera = wingless) – are one of the most effective means of controlling fleas. There are over 2500 species of fleas in the world, 325 in the continental United States alone.
Without sprays, their numbers would proliferate out of control, perhaps bringing about a resurgence of the Bubonic Plague, AKA, the Black Death, which was carried by fleas biting infected rats then jumping to people and biting them.
Sprays are liquid or aerosol treatments designed to kill fleas either directly or by interfering with their growth patterns, thus preventing future reproduction. They can be concentrates that need to be mixed or premixed sprays that can be used immediately.
What Are The Different Types of Sprays For Sand Fleas?
Sand fleas, Chigoe, are members of the Pulicidae family. They inhabit sandy areas at the beach or in your backyard.
